Vitotrans 353 range
Freshwater modules are used for convenient and hygienic DHW heating according to the instantaneous water heater principle. In contrast to conventional DHW cylinders, the drinking water is not used for storing thermal energy but instead is only heated when required, by means of a powerful plate heat exchanger. The energy for this DHW heating is drawn from a heating water buffer cylinder, which can be heated by a wide range of systems – by solar thermal systems, or by solid fuel boilers, conventional oil/gas boilers, heat pumps or other systems.
The Vitotrans 353 freshwater modules can ensure a constant outlet temperature at the hot water tap despite great differences in draw-off rates. High efficiency circulation pumps of the latest generation are controlled by powerful variable speed controllers, so that the heating water flow rate is always at the optimum level for the current draw-off rate. The Vitotrans 353 thus provides perfect convenience, optimum hygiene and futureproof energy saving operation.
Vitotrans 353 is available in five different types. In the standard version – for wall mounting – there are models PBS (draw-off rate 25 l/min), PBM (draw-off rate 48 l/min) and PBL (draw-off rate 68 l/min).

Hygienic water heating with the continuous-flow heating principle
Fresh water modules are used for delivering comfortable and hygienic water heating using the water heater principle. Unlike the conventional storage water heater, the water is not used for energy storage, but is heated by a powerful plate heat exchanger only when necessary. The energy required for hot water comes from a heating water buffer tank, which can be heated by a variety of systems - through solar systems as well as by solid fuel boilers, conventional oil / gas boilers, heat pumps or other systems.
The Vitotrans 353 can ensure a constant outlet temperature at the hot water tap at different dispensing volumes. The latest highly efficient circulating pumps are speed-controlled by an integrated control so that the heating water volume flow is optimally adjusted to the current tap output.

Basic fresh water modules
The basic version are supplied without a circulation pump and can be retrofitted with a circulation set (accessory) within the thermal insulation. It is also possible to implement a return distribution set (accessory) by means of a 3-way valve installed in the vicinity of the heating water buffer tank. In order to increase the flow rate, there is the possibility to interconnect up to four identical basic modules to form a cascade. No additional control is required since the integrated control systems communicate with each other via a BUS line.
Fresh water modules for storage with Vitocell buffer cylinders
