Vitosol 200-FM solar collector
The powerful Vitosol 200-FM flat-plate collectors are the ideal supplement for any heating system. With its absorber surface of 2.3 m², the solar collector adapts to the respective energy requirements.
On an annual average, they replace up to 60 percent of the energy otherwise required for DHW heating and contribute to backup heating. In combination with a condensing boiler, free solar energy can even save more than a third of the annual energy for heating and hot water.
ThermProtect prevents overheating
An intelligent absorber layer protects the collectors from overheating. The ThermProtect technology patented by Viessmann switches off further energy consumption when the solar cylinder is fully heated when a certain temperature is reached.
ThermProtect also produces a higher yield with the Vitosol 200-FM compared with conventional flat-plate collectors, as a more generous dimensioning is possible.
Above the switching temperature, the crystal structure of the absorber layer changes, increases the heat radiation many times over and reduces the collector output. This significantly lowers the stagnation temperature and prevents the formation of steam in the solar circuit.
As the collector temperature drops, the crystal structure returns to its original state. Then, more than 95 percent of the incident solar energy is absorbed and converted into heat. Only the remaining five percent is reflected. The change of the crystal structure is infinitely reversible and the function is permanently available.
Attractive on all roofs
The Vitosol 200-FM is the right choice if the solar collector is to be supplied with a frame in an individual RAL colour. It is painted dark blue as standard and adapts to almost any roof surface. For harmonious roof integration, the Vitosol 200-FM, type SV2G (vertical) or type SH2G (horizontal), can be installed almost flush with the roof cladding.
Permanently tight and well insulated
The all-round curved aluminium frame and the seamless pane enclosure guarantee permanent tightness and high stability of the solar collector. The rear wall is puncture-proof and corrosion-resistant. Highly effective thermal insulation reduces heat losses, especially in transitional periods and in winter.
The collectors are particularly easy to install. Integrated flow and return pipes allow safe mounting of even larger collector arrays using flexible stainless steel corrugated pipe connectors. Up to twelve solar collectors can be easily connected to each other.
The flat collectors are universally suitable for on-roof mounting, roof integration and elevated mounting, for example on flat roofs. The easy-to-install Viessmann fastening system consists of statically tested and corrosion-resistant components made of stainless steel and aluminium.
The Vitosol 200-FM, type SV2G (vertical) or type SH2G (horizontal) versions can be selected for seamless roof integration, lying almost flush with the roof cladding when installed.
