Vitocal 242-G compact heat pump

Complete and extremely compact – the Vitocal 242-G compact heat pump is fully equipped with all of the components required for central and DHW heating. With heating outputs of between 6.1 and 10.0 kW, it is designed for use in detached houses, and flow temperatures up to 60 °C mean it can also be used with conventional radiators.

Vitocal 242-G is the attractively priced alternative to the compact appliance of the 300 series.

Equipped with a Compliant scroll compressor and a thermostatically controlled expansion valve, it achieves coefficients of performance of up to 4.5 (to EN 14511 at brine 0 °C/water 35 °C). High efficiency circulation pumps have been newly integrated into the heating and brine circuits.

Vitocal 242-G is fully prepared for solar operation. Operating the compact appliance is extremely easy thanks to the Vitotronic control unit.

Fully prepared for solar operation

With the Vitocal 242-G, the connections for a solar thermal system are already in place, with the required hydraulic connections and the control unit integrated. A 220 l solar cylinder and a solar control unit enable high solar yields to be achieved.

The powerful collectors and matching system components from Viessmann back up the heat pump – meaning in an average year, 50 to 60 percent of energy usually spent on DHW heating can be saved.

Extremely easy to operate

Like all compact appliances, the Vitocal 242-G is also equipped with the extremely user friendly Vitotronic control unit. If in doubt, help is available at the push of a button. The graphic interface will also display heating curves and switching times.

Particularly quiet operation

The sound-optimised appliance design makes these compact heat pumps particularly quiet so that they can even be installed close to the living space.

Heating naturally – naturally cooling as well

The compact heat pumps can provide a pleasant climate in a low energy house, even on hot summer days. The natural cooling function brings cool underground temperatures into the home. For this, the Viessmann NC-Box is required as an accessory.

Vitoconnect 100 creates the connection

ViCare App

The ViCare app enables system users to control their heating system via smartphone. The operating status can be viewed at any time and the contractor whose details have been stored in the app can be contacted quickly and easily if a fault occurs.

Vitotrol Plus app

The Vitotrol Plus app enables remote control of all heating circuits in a heating system. It is used to configure operating programs, set values and time programs and display operating and consumption data. It also indicates solar yields.
