A power generating heating system

The Vitovalor 300‑P – a world first – brings environmentally responsible fuel cell technology into detached and two-family houses. This fuel cell heating appliance supplies power as well as heat.

It is made up of two modules: a fuel cell and a gas condensing boiler. Together they form a single visual unit and require just 0.65 square metres of floor space for installation.

Perfect for new build

With efficient insulation techniques, new buildings today require far less heat than older ones. The Vitovalor 300‑P was designed specifically with that in mind. With an output of 1 kW the fuel cell covers most of the heat demand.

The gas condensing boiler starts automatically when more heat is required on cold days.

At the same time, the Vitovalor 300‑P generates up to 15 kWh of power per day. That covers the basic needs of most households, for huge savings on electricity bills.

Using a tablet or smartphone, you can access the latest data on heat and power generation and control the fuel cell boiler remotely. The standard integral remote monitoring system allows the heating contractor to keep a constant eye on the system.
Additional features
With an output of 1 kW the fuel cell module covers most of the heat demand. If more heat is required, the gas condensing boiler switches on automatically – for example, on particularly cold days or if a lot of hot water is used within a short period of time. At the same time, the Vitovalor 300‑P generates up to 16.5 kWh of power per day. That covers the baseline demand of most households.

Heat demand

New buildings today require significantly less heat than those in the past. The output of the Vitovalor 300-P fuel cell heating appliance is geared to that development. For modernisation of existing buildings, on the other hand, significantly more heat is required. For that case, suitable solutions are available in the form of the Vitotwin 350-F and Vitotwin 300-W.

Power storage units

The Vitovolt power storage unit from Viessmann raises the on-site consumption rate in a household significantly. This translates into a reduction of the expensive power drawn from the mains. Utilising the power generated on site improves the efficiency of the micro CHP system.
