Viessmann to sponsor HIP Female Skills Competition 2024

29th November 2023

Heating systems manufacturer Viessmann is to sponsor the HIP Female Skills Competition for a second year.

Level 2 and 3 plumbing & heating learners are invited to enter the competition, which celebrates and supports the next generation of female talent in the industry, by midnight this Thursday November 30th. All they need to do to enter is to complete the form on this web page, which takes just a few seconds.

Participants in the HIP Female Skills Competition compete in a live practical installation at one of three regional locations in February and March 2024, showcasing their skills and competing for impressive prizes.

Each regional winner and runner-up will progress to the Grand Final, where they have the opportunity to gain not only recognition as a finalist or winner but also to win fantastic prizes.

The assessments will take place on a Viessmann Vitodens 100-W gas-condensing boiler, provided by Viessmann. As well as £750 of prizes, Viessmann is also offering each of the finalists a manufacturer experience day at its headquarters in Telford, where guests will learn about current and future products and technologies, and get an overview of installer training and loyalty schemes offered by manufacturers.

Emma-Louise Bennett from Viessmann, said:

“Investing in the future generation of engineers is a priority for Viessmann. The skills gap in the heating industry must be filled asap with installers ready to hit the ground running with renewable technology to meet the UK's Net Zero targets. By learning on the Vitodens gas range and also taking part in an exclusive training session with the Viessmann Academy, these engineers will be introduced to the most efficient boilers and heat pumps available in the UK.”
