Hydraulic balancing can help. The measure, which is usually carried out manually by a heating engineer, increases energy efficiency by up to 15 percent. ViCare makes it even easier to exploit this potential. If you replace all conventional thermostats with ViCare radiator and floor thermostats and connect them to your heat generator, fully automatic balancing is possible. As presettable thermostats are not required for this, hydronic balancing is also possible for modernizations. The installer must also carry out hydronic balancing for a new heating system.
ViCare Smart Climate communicates directly with your heating system. Data from the sensors (e.g., temperature, humidity, and valve opening) on the components helps the heating system continuously improve its settings. Optimizing the heating circuit settings and pump control saves energy without compromising on comfort.
The smart heating control system continuously optimizes your heating system's flow temperature based on current demand. It does this by using real-time data from ViCare Smart Climate components, which the algorithm uses to adjust the flow temperature according to actual heating demand.

Info: We recommend installation by a specialised heating company. At least one ViCare climate sensor is required per heating zone to set the temperature value.
The climate sensor allows you to determine the temperature and relative humidity in each room. It improves the accuracy of the solution and helps you to ensure better health and energy efficiency in your home.
The values determined are transmitted to your Vitoconnnect or your Viessmann OneBase heating device via low power radio. The radio range is up to 14 metres through walls (depending on the wall structure and wall thickness).

The ViCare Smart Climate Repeater complements your existing Viessmann heating system and serves as a signal amplifier to ensure a stable connection throughout your home. The component is available as a surface-mounted device or as a concealed flush-mounted version. The only difference between the surface-mounted repeater and the climate sensor is the included power cord, which ensures a simple power supply.

The Vitoconnect enables individual room control via the ViCare app. With Vitoconnect, you can connect your heating device to the internet and use ViCare Smart Climate components.
Vitoconnect can be used together with an older Viessmann boiler, a third-party device or even without a boiler in your home. If you have a new Viessmann heat generator with integrated WLAN, you do not need Vitoconnect to be able to use ViCare components.

You can set different heating schedules for each day in the app. This ensures that energy is only consumed when you need heat. This prevents individual rooms from being heated even though they are not being used.
Our system continuously measures the room temperature and detects open windows due to sudden drops in temperature. If detected, the heating valve closes automatically for 30 minutes. A push notification (if activated) informs about the open window. This function optimizes your energy consumption and is specially designed for radiator valves. Underfloor heating systems, on the other hand, generally run much more constantly than radiators and therefore waste less energy when ventilated.
Normally, hydraulic balancing requires manual adjustments to be made to each radiator, measurements to be taken and all valves to be set accordingly. This process takes several hours. Alternatively, ViCare Smart Climate can also carry out automatic hydronic balancing and ensure that your heating system is always optimally adjusted. Another advantage is that the system works evenly and puts less strain on the heat generator and the heat distribution system, which extends the lifetime of these components.
The patented Intelligent Heat Control algorithm enables real-time communication between thermostatic valves and the heat pump. Thanks to this constant coordination, the heat pump knows exactly how to maintain the preset comfort temperature as efficiently as possible at all times. Viessmann heat pumps, when combined with Viessmann smart thermostats, form a system that can save up to 28 percent* on electricity costs without compromising on comfortable living.
Geofencing - The system can perform actions automatically, such as turning the heating down when you are away and turning it up again before you get home. This reduces energy consumption and heating costs.

FAQ: Frequently asked questions about ViCare components
ViCare thermostats are compatible with many radiator valves. Adapters for the smart radiator thermostat are included in the packaging. Further information on the various adapters can be found in the corresponding operating instructions.
A ViCare climate sensor provides an additional temperature and humidity measurement to obtain even more information about the room climate.
The climate sensor should be mounted on the wall away from the radiators to ensure the correct temperature value. The humidity measurement is necessary if underfloor heating is used.
To be able to control your ViCare Smart Climate components via the ViCare app, you must add a system in the app. In these two cases, you must use the Vitoconnect for this:
You have an older generation Viessmann heating system. In this case, you can connect the Vitoconnect to the system via an Opto-Link cable to make your heating system internet-enabled and use the ViCare app.
