Viessmann supports industry inclusivity with HIP Female Skills sponsorship

Viessmann is proud to be an official sponsor of the first ever HIP Female Skills competition organised by the magazine for plumbing & heating students and apprentices.

LOUGHOBOROUGH, UK - March 30th 2023

Taking place this spring, the tournament aims to celebrate and nurture the best up-and-coming industry talent.

Level 2 and 3 female plumbing & heating learners of all ages from around the UK will be pitting their wits at two regional heats in a live practical installation for a chance to compete at the Grand Final in Loughborough on 30th March. The contestants will be fitting the Viessmann Vitodens 100-W 11 kW system boiler during the competition, which is a 4-pipe system boiler with priority domestic hot water and therefore allows heating flow temperature modulation to ensure the boiler condenses for the maximum time possible.   All 24 contestants will leave with a backpack of Viessmann-branded goodies.

“It’s so important to encourage more women into our industry, which is currently 98% male,” said Viessmann Marketing Director Darren McMahon. “This competition is a great initiative to shine a light on the skilled new female professionals who are joining the ranks, so we jumped at the chance to support it.   Hopefully it will inspire many others to follow in their footsteps.”

Vitodens boiler highlights include:

Highly reliable and efficient thanks to Inox-Radial stainless steel heat exchanger, with 10 year warranty
MatriX-Plus burner with Lambda Pro combustion controller for permanently high efficiency and clean combustion
Integral variable speed high efficiency circulation pump
Simple and intuitive operation via LCD screen display and touch buttons
Quiet operation thanks to low fan speed (variable speed fan)
