Weymouth man wins £5,000 holiday

Heating manufacturer Viessmann has given away 10 holidays totalling £50,000 this spring and a Weymouth resident has received a £5,000 Love2Shop Holiday Gift Card, to spend on a destination of his choice

Weymouth – Lucky Andy Prior from Weymouth has won a £5,000 Love2Shop Holiday Gift Card, just by having a new boiler installed. The competition was open to anybody having a Viessmann Vitodens boiler fitted by a trained Viessmann installer at their home during March and April.

Mr Prior’s boiler was installed by Weymouth heating, renewables and plumbing specialist, Wessex Gasworks. Derek Millen, director of Wessex Gasworks presented Andy with the voucher earlier this month.

Speaking about his win, Andy Prior said, “When I was first contacted by Viessmann to say I’d won, I was quite suspicious. Usually, when things seem too good to be true, they are! But now I’m very excited. I’m considering Australia or a cruise! I’m delighted with my boiler too. I recently moved into a new flat with a 20-year-old broken boiler. I’ve now got a new, energy efficient Vitodens 100-W boiler with the latest controls and I’ll be saving money on fuel bills too!”

German-manufactured Viessmann boilers are recognised for their high quality and energy-efficiency, meaning lower fuel bills. Each boiler in the range has an ‘A’ energy efficiency rating for heating and most for hot water.

Darren McMahon, Viessmann’s marketing director, commented: “Spring is traditionally the time of year that people think more about going on holiday, than upgrading their heating system, but with this competition, homeowners could do both! As a family business, we’re delighted to have brought some joy to 10 households up and down the country and we wish Mr Prior a fantastic break, wherever he chooses to go. Thanks also to Wessex Gasworks for entering this boiler installation for the prize.”
